Give Your Body Days Off

We enjoy holidays from the government, we get personal days, sick days, and the list goes on with the days.

When we sit at home on a day off, we tend to forget it would be nice to give our bodies the day off too.

Sometimes we give the brain the day off by not working and thinking too hard, but we put him back to work with movies, and other stresses that we have going on in our lives.

Look at the yearly calendar, and schedule seasonal days where you give the brain a complete day off. Schedule days where you give the digestive system a complete day off.

A complete day off for the brain, to me, would be something like, no work, no tv, no reading, just meditation, and sleep.

A complete day off for the digestive system is no eating, just water (and sometimes no water).

When you schedule it ahead of time, I can tell you that you’ll dread when it approaches and you’ll be tempted to push it back or skip that month or year.

Try not to.

Eventually, you’ll look forward to it because of the way it makes you feel. Give your body days off and your body will reward you for it.
